Amanda Bermudez

Hello, my name is Amanda Bermudez, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee under the supervision of Bao Yang at Pacific Counseling Center. I hold a BA in Psychology from Fresno Pacific University and have received training in Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Level 1 Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Faith and Spirituality in Integrated SPIRT, Core Components and Skills for Trauma-Informed Practice, Gottman: Treating Affairs and Trauma, and Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporter training.

I am passionate about creating a welcoming, collaborative, and authentic space where clients feel safe to be themselves. I believe that people deserve to be seen, heard, and supported through every season of life. My goal is to provide an environment where clients can explore their experiences, better understand themselves and their relationships, and develop meaningful tools to navigate life’s challenges.

I enjoy working with couples who are experiencing conflict or feeling disconnected and want to develop healthier communication patterns and stronger emotional connections. I also enjoy working with individuals who are navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, and significant life changes.

My approach is grounded in attachment-based therapy and informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems. I believe our relationships and past experiences can deeply shape how we understand ourselves and connect with others. Through therapy, I hope to help clients develop healthier relationships, increase self-awareness, build confidence, and discover new ways of responding to the challenges life may bring.

I value giving clients space for self-exploration while also helping them develop practical tools and skills to cope with life’s difficulties. I believe you are more than the things that have happened to you, and that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and live freely. My hope is to help clients move beyond simply surviving and toward a life where they can truly thrive and experience greater authenticity, connection, and fulfillment.

Whether you are struggling with relationship concerns, personal challenges, anxiety, or simply seeking greater self-understanding and growth, I am here to walk alongside you in this season. Together, we can work toward helping you build a more genuine, connected, and fulfilling life.
